The Red Mage of Celeste is a travelling mage under the name of Aurea. She specialises in fire magic and conjuration. She is very patient and in tune with nature.

Aurea was childhood friends with Ymi. They both grew up in Lisga and were trained by Puldor the pink. Puldor trained them intermittently on the island of Nath, but would leave the island frequently for his own work. On many occasions Ymi brought up that spells should be made easy and accesible to the public but got rejected every time. One day, Puldor does not return from one of his travels. Ymi simply accepts the passing of their master, and stays in Nath, practising his magic, while Aurea travelled alone. After years of searching, she found Puldor, heavily injured and sickly, but her skills of healing weren't as strong as Ymi's. Puldor passed but not before passing Aurea his Puldor's Spellbook. With a heart full of sorrow, Aurea returned to Nath after 3 long years. As she made through their old village of Lisga many of them talked about how the pink wizard returned. Full of confusion, she went straight to the island to find out what was happening. When she arrived she saw that there was a big black tower, taller than any she had ever seen. She entered the tower and climbed all the stairs seeing the production of Runes. When she reached the highest floor, she saw Ymi sitting on a throne wearing her master's pink robes. In horror of Ymi's attempt to usurp her master while trying to go against his wishes, she went into a fit of rage smashing all of Ymi's equipment to make Runes. Ymi retaliated by using a shadow to snatch the Puldor's Spellbook from Aurea, claiming it was his by right. At the sight of this use of dark magic, Aurea unleashed her full power at Ymi stealing back the Puldor's Spellbook and burning everything inside The Tower of Ymi and burning Puldor's robes, turning them ashen and black. This was the last time Aurea saw her friend. the last words she spoke to him were "all hail Ymi, the black, Lord of Nath"
